Should I do vintage-vintage, retro vintage or modern vintage? This is for the Vintage Sew Along. But the key question is, will it work in my
wardrobe? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I think the Butterick 9438 would look fabulous on your shape and are good core pieces. Imagining the fabrics you would choose and my mind begins to explode!
McCalls 3326 speaks to me. I love the neckline and I think it would look great on you. I'm particularly partial to the Donna Karan pattern, too, and I have three Donna Karan patterns that I think come from the same range. It's the same model and style of photo on the front. There is a pant, skirt and two tops that are similar to that style you have. I really quite like it. You'd look great in those as well. Do you have fabric in mind?
Honestly, I can see you in every one of them - with the right fabric, jewelry and shoes - of course! My favorite is the Vogue 1834 - but I think it is least retro looking.

If your going to do vintage, go all out. That's how you win!!!!!
I'm with Micelle. Of all the patterns you presented, the B9438 just jumped right out at me.
I agree with B9438. My eye was immediately drawn to that patter. I also like the ODLR V2752, but without the heavy shoulders (pads).

I totally see you in that Ungaro Vogue 1864. Retro, but can totally be pulled off with the right attitude.
OMG, these are all great. I can't decide.
My favorites were the red Simplicity with the little white bow (loves) and or the McCalls with the full red skirt/white top. Vintage-vintage. :D
Whoops, they were both Simplicty, but I got the colors right. HA.
When in doubt- Go Hepburn. :)

I love B9438. Have fun!
