What happened? Sometimes a piece of fabric takes on a life of it's own. I envisioned this as a Chanel-esque cardi (circa 1920)with a longish skirt. I like the way the front draped, but the back was just too big. I tried to remove some of the fullness by darting it. Nope, she wasn't going to cooperate. Oh well, sometimes that happens. Into the refashion pile she goes. Stay tuned.

Looking at the shape the darts are creating in the back, I wonder if you could cut it into a diamond shaped yoke and take out some fullness at the margins before sewing it back together?
