Dress - Butterick 5211

This dress, was fast and easy to sew. It does have the potential to be boring and sack like. But if you take the time to draft the pattern more to your shape, I think you'll like it. See review here.

Still working through my stash. Here's my recap for the past two months:
April 15.375 yds. sewn & May 9.5 yds. sewn.
I've joined the PR Wardrobe contest. Yes, again. Maybe this time, I can complete this one. So far, I pulled the fabrics I'll be using. But I done that for every other wardrobe contest I've entered. LOL.

Oh, one more thing. Why not do the Summer Blackout 2010 Challenge. Here are the rules:From Monday, June 7, to Monday, June 14, participants are forbidden to wear black clothes. No black pants, black skirts, black dresses, black shirts, black sweaters, nada. Here are the official rules of play:
1. Black shoes, accessories, and jewelry are fine.
2.Workout/gym duds get a pass.
3.Black can be IN patterns but cannot be the BACKGROUND of a pattern.
If you want to take it to the next level, go ahead and omit those black shoes, accessories, jewelry, and patterns Visit Sally McGraw for more details
Have a blessed day.

Wow! Cute dress!
I have black shoes... I don't know if I can do that challenge without putting myself in major dept... Or if I just wear flip flops all month! That might be doable...

I like this dress. Sometimes a pattern needs only the simplest of tweaks to give it a bit more shape. I can do the no black thing. Even though it's Tuesday here already, I didn't wear black yesterday and as I've been making all sorts of bright colours, it's easy to wear no black!

Love the dress! The print really works for that style.

The blackout challenge is such a great idea. I don't wear much black anyway (except shoes) so I might already be taking it on without even knowing it! Black is the norm in the professional world and I think there is room for so much more!
