M5974-dress & Rowenta Giveaway!

I'm still stash busting. I haven't bought any fabric in five months, but several friends have added to my collection. Here's another rendition of the Perfect Dress. I bought six yards of this fabric at Walmart about two years ago and knew then I wanted to make a dress. Yesterday morning, I pulled this out of my stash, determined I was wearing purple. My iron died in the process. I think it's time for a new one anyway. This is the first project I have ever made with out using an iron. But I wore my dress proudly. I did purchase an inexpensive iron last night but Bitter Betty is having a giveaway for one made by Rowenta. Enter for your chance to win this lovely.

Another lovely dress. I have a few purple knits in my queue, too. I have a hankering for a purple and green collection this winter, so I'm slowly gathering the fabric. I have purchased this pattern after seeing your versions and will probably make it in one of my purples.

What a lovely dress that is! The wrap design looks very flattering and stylish.
I have a love/hate relationship with my iron, too, even when its working OK! and your dress turned out beautiful without using it! I find knit fabric hardly ever needs ironing and a lot of knits have too much body to fold to a sharp edge anyway.

Hi RiAnge!

Thanks so much for posting the wiget! By the way, I'm really sorry but I realised I messed up the html code before for the wiget as it didn't actually link through if you tried to click on it. The new, improved html code is on the wiget blog post if you wish to up date it.

Phew! This whole thing is quite a learning curve.
Thanks! Happy creating

The dress is fabulous and the fabric beautiful. Did you say Walmart?..., Great find. Two of the local Walmart's in my town have discontinued the fabric section.
