Measure twice, cut once...

This is a completed UFO. I inherited the fabric from a client well over a decade ago. When I cut this out (a decade ago as well), I didn't account for walking ease, so there is a major display of leg going on when I sit. But I did cut it the length of view A. Two weeks ago, I finally sewed it, didn't like the length, eye-balled it and cut. Now it reaches just above my knees. A tad too short for me. I'm putting it in the Etsy store. No point in holding on to it. Luckily, I have enoungh of the fabric left over to make this again.

A 10 year old UFO completed! That is impressive.

With the challenges you described, if you otherwise love the fit, maybe you could add a wide trim to the bottom of the skirt and sleeves to make it all look intentional? Then I would create an extension (using the same fabric or just black to create an "underlap" to extend the skirt front that lies underneath, anchoring with a skirt hook or strong snap to the side seam (inside the garment). Or... of course, Etsy...
