Recessionista/Refashionista

Okay, so we're in a recession. Tell me something I don't know. Lack of funds have never stopped a creative diva from looking fabulous.

THE coolest pants. I need some. Where can I get African prints and panels locally besides G Street and Vina Fabric? Is there anywhere else?

Thank you for your kind comments. Check out the thrift stores. Sometimes you can find a bubu suit, or shalwar kameez. For close to authentic fabric without the cost, Hancocks in Langley Park is decent. There is another store in the next shopping center (unfortunately, I don't remember the name) that has fabrics from all over the world. OMG! I drooled over the aso ke. Their cotton prints were reasonably priced, though.
